Common questions
Oma can't get into a folder any more.
This happens when a folder is moved, renamed or on a drive that is not connected. Open the panel and press Let Oma back in on the Needs attention card, then choose the folder again.
Nothing happens at the scheduled time.
Oma only tidies while Omaculate is open. Check that it is in your menu bar and not paused, and that Open Omaculate at login is on in Settings. Schedules need Grand Oma or the trial.
A file was skipped.
Review shows the reason next to it: still downloading, only in iCloud, already handled by a recipe higher up, or not enough space. Oma tries again on the next run.
How do I put back a file Oma moved?
Open the panel, find the run on Home or in History, and press Undo next to the file, or Undo run for the whole batch. Files sent to the Trash have Show in Trash instead; put them back from there.
How do I restore my purchase on another Mac?
Sign in to the Mac App Store with the same Apple Account, open Omaculate, go to Settings and choose Restore purchase.
Smart naming says it is unavailable.
Smart naming needs macOS 26 and Apple Intelligence turned on in System Settings. On other Macs, renames use the file's own name and everything else works as usual.
How do I remove Omaculate?
In Settings, Clear all data removes recipes, history and folder access; your files stay where they are. Then quit Omaculate and move it from Applications to the Trash.
