Do you need an app to tidy your Mac? Omaculate vs the built-in tools
macOS can group the Desktop with Stacks, gather files into a saved search with Smart Folders, and, from macOS 26, run a shortcut when files are added to a folder. None of them shows you a plan of moves to approve or keeps an undo history. That's the gap Omaculate fills.

Apple's guide presents Stacks as a way to group files on the Desktop by kind, date or tag. It does not describe moving them into folders, and Stacks have no rules and do nothing for Downloads.
Can Shortcuts sort my Downloads folder automatically?

Does a Smart Folder tidy anything?
No. A Smart Folder is a saved search: it lists matching files wherever they are and leaves them in place.
