Keep signed contracts and agreements together in one folder

Omaculate moves documents that look like contracts or agreements (contract, agreement, NDA, signed, lease and their Spanish and German forms) into a Contracts folder.

Why it helps

Contracts get downloaded once, signed, and then needed a year later when nobody remembers what the file was called.

What it matches

  • Documents whose names read like a contract or agreement
  • With Grand Oma and smart naming, Oma also reads the document on your Mac when the name doesn't settle it

What it leaves alone

  • Images named "signed"
  • Invoices and statements (their own recipes)
In the recipe editor

A document in Downloads that looks like a contract or agreement is moved to Downloads/Contracts.

Set it up in Omaculate

  1. Open Omaculate from the menu bar and go to Recipes.
  2. Under Suggested, choose Contracts and agreements. It's ready to save, on Downloads.
  3. Look over the files it would touch, then press Save.
  4. Press Tidy now, check the list, and approve it.

Change anything by tapping its words, for example: tag them with your own Finder tag; remind me about it in 1 year (renewals).

Or by hand: search and move

  1. In Downloads, press ⌘F and search for "agreement", "contract" and "signed".
  2. Drag the results into a Contracts folder.

Questions

Can Omaculate remind me before a contract renews?

You can add "remind me about it in" to a recipe, from 7 days to 2 years. Clicking the reminder shows the file in Finder.

Let Oma gather contracts and agreements.

Free for one folder. Everything free for 3 days, then Grand Oma is $14.99, once.
